Troll carriage broken weld
« on: May 24, 2016, 01:03:40 AM »
Just unboxed MMr Le 839 and discovered during the first game that the troll carriage had a broken weld where the switch attaches. The troll was not centered when raised and moved a little when hit by a ball. I have disabled the left troll in the adjustment menu. I have attached a picture of the broken weld that causes the issue.

I have submitted support ticket #670 with Chicago Gaming.

Picture was good enough for Chicago Gaming, they have already responded to the ticket.

I can't see the break either due to the blurriness.  I am curious what broke if you have another picture.

The metal bracket that holds the troll face leaf blade switch.

The locknut should be facing forward, not to the side.

As Lloyd said right above the locknut. On the left troll you can see the break just below the trolls chin.

nice, yeah they seem to respond good to real issues. Some people complain they never hear back, but I think it's just those people whining about the inserts.

Doug responded immediately to my insert issues.  He was very nice on the phone.  I still do not agree with the explanation for the inserts, but I will say that mine are definitely better than many I have seen, but not as good as the early production runs.

Anyway, I wish CGC and PPS well.  I really like my MMR and am interested to see what else they remake.  Not interested in AFM, but would love to have a CV and a new TZ.

Got an invoice today from CGC for the broken carriage assembly. I must return the broken part within 14 days, however according to the UPS tracking number they haven't shipped the part yet. I guess I should be glad that I have a UPS tracking number.
