kicker opening.
2. On Nickel and Quarter Acceptors , the string catcher is moved as far to the right
as it will go.
3. On Dime Acce ptors, the string catcher is move d as far to the left as it wi ll go.
MAINTENANCE
Depen ding upon the environmen t in wh ich the Accep tor is used, per iodic preventative main-
tenan ce shou ld be performed .
The ma inplate may be cleane d with any hous eho ld clea nser. Thorough rinsing and drying
are necessa ry to remove depos its and /or film.
Remove an filings from the mag net by guiding an ice pick, awl, or the poi nt of a screw
driver along the edges of the magnet . You wi ll notice the filings will cling to the poi nt of the too l.
Remove the tran sfer crad les and undersi ze levers and clean the bushi ngs. A pipe cleaner
makes a good bushing cleaner. Also clean the pivot pin. Apply powde red graphi te or pencil lead
sparingly to the pivot pin and bushing and reassemble.
On Nickel units make certain all fore ign matter is removed from the bounce teste r. Also
make certain the bounce tester fas tening screw s are tigh t.
In the event the recom mended adjustment and mainte nance procedu res do not render your
"Series 50" Acceptor serviceable, chec k for worn or damaged par ts and rep lace as neces sary.
