For those of you who are newto the maintenance of slug rejectors, we suggest that
the follow ingpoints be observed :
A slug rejector shouldnewr be oiled.
Every slug rejector has one or more permanent magnets whichtend to pick
up steel filings. A spare ,unitshould. therefore. be wrapped or bagged.
In case of difficulty. Ctrst m8ke certain that you have the proper instraet ions
for your particular rejector aud then followthe instructions step by step.
In the event of a malfunctionof the slug rejector. proceed as follows:
1. Remove the rejector from your coin operated ma .ch ine.
2. Openthe scavenger (it hinges to the left) and inspect for cleanliness. If
there is the least doubtas to its being clean. followthe clean ingproc e-
dure on the enclosed siogle sheet.
3. Checkall screws for tightness .
4. Stand rejector upright on a level surface and insert nickels. Observe
whether the nickels accept, reject or ~in the rejector. Theaccept
and reject chutes are as shownbelow:

5. If nickels accept during the abow test. follow this procedure:
A. Push the operating lever downand release slowly. Retest. If nickels
are nowrejected, follow instructions in paragraph #6.
B. If nickels are accepted. replace rejector in mach ine. Check for
mechanical binds or interference from some part of the mach ine.
An improperly leveled machine can cause rejection of genuine
nickels.
