Attack From Mars Remake (AFMR) / Re: Starving for news...

Lloyd you put my mind at rest and my trust is in your rapport.
I don't think I'am alone on questioning anything on these machines as they are now up to 2-3 x's the cost from original's and friends and acquaintances do still ask...

At this price for a toy ...Are you "all-right" or just going through a mid life crisis ...lol..

Lloyd I have a question that I figured inside people such a yourself would be able to answer and that is about the components and parts for this game and the others to come .
The question I have is , are the vendors from the last game MMR doing the prep stage components for this game ,  my concern as many others have outlined in the 1st showing of the new AFMR in what ever venue it was shown at and the point here is the playfield and yes I did look at the playfield and what others had mentioned on the "chipping aspect" ....normal play does not account for such severe chipping I should know as my MMR has over 500 plays and no problems at all noticed on the playfield at all ...including heavy bashing going through the castle ..
So if by chance a machine runs 50 games ,like on this AFMR and it starts showing signs of the severity of the playfield chipping as shown on the 3 or so machines shown at the show ...are we to take this as "Normal play" ..??? Just asking as let me tell you and Chicago gaming , I get flaking and chipping  on my new 10K + machine within a few months , Yes I maybe pissed ..
So my  question is are these playfields being manufactured at the same facility and manufacture as the MMR ..??

Just a question of concern ,, no this is not a Mercedes , but it is 10K + and I am looking for a little bit of endurance, reliability and wear .
Yes up here to the North of you all its a bit different to purchase one of these and its like getting a mortgage for a home ..to be frank its just over 13K including tax's and delivery .. so yes I would like something without issues .

Just a point of view and a reasonable question that should be easy to answer .

Hmm....
           We shall see ...
Not to take anything away from their QC or Production line but this firm is solely video games and Foosball ..Yes ..???

This is a 1st for them ..???

Yah I figured that all would be interchangeable and I do appreciate the time for the reply of note on that matter ..
But ...I really would like [as well as many others who are looking to purchase the new AFMR] a few cool pics of that assembly line "a workin" .
Do you think a visit by you to Stern is in the forecast in the near future to have a look at the production line for the AFMR.?

Rick, Great news on things to come , wow its like a dream come true for most of Us that were so involved to get a head start in the rat race of life and missed out on these original titles due to Priorities .
Looking at allot of buyers I don't feel bad feeling young at 55 and now able to budget Life expenses , Family and retirement ...and the odd pin.

Order is in on AFMR [SS Trim ] ,,My color scheme is a little different than others as I am thinking of replacing my SS legs with Black to match the Cabinet Colors and keep the SS Trim to match the mirrors ...ah ..It might work,, but we are all different and that's what make us all unique .

On another note will you be posting Pics on 1st production lines like you did for the MMR , was great seeing production lines, assemblies and movement on the manufacturing side .

No push here ,, just liked the behind the scenes action .

Looking at all the news today and confirmation ,looks like I maybe able to purchase my Stainless  LE .
Way to go Chicago Gaming ...

Since there is only 500 LE , and the concept Color is Green trim ..
What was it that limited it to this color and not any other option  such as the MMR LE..
Even though it was a Limited edition I was hoping for the Plain SS trim or Black as well ..
Yes the Green is one color that I am going to have to mull over just on its 1st impression [Of seeing it]..
It was immediate on the MMR once I seen it on the web [Gold Color] it was the color to get and was Happy on that choice when I received mine .
Green ...I am reading that others are to thinking of what I am thinking to .
No criticism here just 1 lonely opinion ...but I may not be alone.

also had issues with one of the trolls coming loose and very noticeable while in play ...think I got it tight this time ..

Had my electrical guy have a look at this situation ..
We left it on from morning until I came back from works 9.5 Hours ..Did not play it just left it on .
once started you could hear sound degrading ,Had him look at all connections looked at the speakers , Even cross swapped another 8 ohm 5.25 had kicking around still no difference ..
His conclusion is that the components seem to have a over heating problem ...This is what he said not me... he is an electrical engineer ..
This amp board or sound system may have a sub par component in the works that is causing this problem but the Ferrite Magnet fix claim ...he doubts ..
If the quality of components match the Country build of speaker ...Who knows what we actually bought ..

Wow .....This guy is 1 of our top engineers and he gave me a wake up call ..We will soon see if  "There is a software fix" ...coming soon ...
He Doubts ...Its a component and the system was never tested for the longevity of being on over the coarse of a day or weeks ..His conclusion ..

Well this time Mine worked well for a couple of weeks and now I have this same problem as others state here in this link ..The only difference from a few weeks ago is that we are now leaving the machine on for longer durations ..The day in question was about 8 hours ...Played a few hours in the early afternoon then Came back in the evening and Powered through about 1 1/2 hours of full on usage and not only did I notice the degrading Output audio but so did the guests ...[ House Temp Average that day 68 deg.]
I'll give it another marathon , But I think either the audio Board or amplification module Over heats after being on for awhile then the Electronics get Hot and well ....Another MMR remake dilemma ...
But I will give it another go and see what the Electrical engineers at work have to say ,before I believe any "Quick Fix" remedies here ..
Could be Weak soldering or just Poor choice of components..[ this is a suggestion From a Conversation this afternoon with 1 of our Electrical Engineers ] ..

I will prevail to get to the Bottom of this but am Looking to see if others have this same audio degradation after the unit is on for more than a couple hours

Dam Strait ..Me to ...
Works OK once in awhile ...Then Bam right into the Red light ...
I even turned off the Shaker [which I thought may have contributed to the smashing] same thing, Bam right into the Red Light ..Great strong Eject ..but at what cost and will it last or self destruct itself ..

Aligned and Aligned Put washers In took washers Out ...
Somehow I thing that catapult ramp could have been extended a bit at the end Bend With 3 guide rails instead of the 2..From an engineering perspective ..
