We replaced the dragon on our MMR with vinyl figurine of Toothless from "How to Train Your Dragon." It has a five-inch wingspan and looks great. :)

If it helps, I had this problem when our machine first arrived last year. I re-seated the ethernet cable and the problem has not returned since.

I ordered a pair of 4Ω Pyle speakers from Parts Express in June of 2015 for my MMRLE. It was a nice and easy install. From what I remember, the stock speakers are 6Ω. The 4Ω speakers increased the current a bit but I have not had any trouble with the machine and I play it almost every day.

I have also installed the same 4Ω speakers on my "Doctor Who" machine without any problems.

As an added bonus, the yellow frame of the speakers tie in nicely with the color of the translite.

I hope this helps a bit.

My kit arrived today.

They sent two coil plungers that are longer than the stock plungers. Same fit, same look, same everything -- just about 0.5" longer.

Installation was a breeze and the kicker doesn't come anywhere near the playfield. I'm very happy.

I wonder if a longer plunger results in a weaker slingshot? Maybe... but I'm not concerned about that part. I'm just happy the problem has been solved and it was such a simple fix.

I received an email from Chicago Gaming Company yesterday saying that a "slingshot plunger replacement kit" has been sent my way.

Not sure if it's a replacement kit set or just one (only the left slingshot plunger on my machine was doing the damage).

I'll send an update as soon as I get this sucker installed.

I have just submitted a ticket to Chicago Gaming regarding this issue.

Thanks again for bringing this issue to light.

Thank you for bringing this topic to my attention.

I examined my machine and notice there is a small amount of playfield damage/chipping on the left slingshot kicker.

I'm taking photos to document the situation to report to Chicago Gaming.

Again, thanks everyone.

Just thought I'd write an update regarding this thread.

I took Lloyd's advice and re-seated the Ethernet cable connections on both the Beaglebone Black and the main playfield PCB.

This was a few weeks ago.

Since then, the problem has not occurred.

It would happen on my machine if I left it on, and idle, for a few hours. I have kept the machine powered on for over a week, for testing purposes, and the error has not happened since.

Definitely do this if the "Hardware error" message appears on your machine.

I would love to know as well. It seems like it was an option for MMR customers to purchase Invisiglass for a discounted price but haven't heard anything else about it.

It would look incredible on my MMR now.

I've had that error message occur in the past. In my case, it's when I leave the machine on, and idle, for a few hours.

I will also try re-seating the Ethernet cable.

Same here.

I loosened the nut and moved the wireform slightly inward. It's perfect now.

Nope.

I've drilled out the lock and hitting the hardware store this afternoon. I should make multiple copies, or at least hang them somewhere that's not the coin door.

First really stupid support question:

Would anyone know the type of keys are used in the coin door and translite lock?

I... umm... lost mine.  ???

No clue where they are. Are they a normal type of key that can be purchased from Home Depot or something like that?

I'm an idiot.
