Title: F-14 Playfield
Post by: soapman on September 30, 2014, 11:55:07 PM
It has been said that it was in production, hoping to come out in (F)February, 20(14).  Nothing yet,  Just checking to see the statues of this.  Have a F-14 that I started to do touch-up (learning).  Would love to see a Repo of F-14

Thanks again for all y'all do for pinball,

Bill

We would love to see one as well! New supplier having the usual 'startup' learnings and challenge. Alternative would be in queue with CPR, so either way it would be awhile. Situation is this. Inserts are done (some are special for F-14), artwork is done, wood is there. Routing tested. At this time, they are just testing the machine/screens and then they get into production. So, I'm venturing less and less to guess when production will be other than it is moving forward.

I gave in and sold F14 if anyone needs a full set of decals let me know.
Would give a great price shipped US only.
Have a new speaker plastic and speaker templates to boot.

As with many many projects ... this one is moving forward, but very slowly as the supplier is having life interfere with pinball ...

This happens most the time with suppliers - so either we have one or two suppliers that have 3-5 year lead times on things -or- we try to incubate other suppliers (who have many growing pains) ... this is that case.

This is why we are rarely giving dates around projects as people are not realizing that things can and often do change - and trust me it is frustrating, but the alternative is much worse ...

I see Buthamburg is trying to sort out demand on these over on Pinside. Does that mean these are a go? Is there a place to signup to be on your list?

The original company that was going to do it is no longer doing it, and not likely CPR will do it, so Peter may be the next to try to do it. I believe we have the artwork, so if there is enough demand, then we will see how it goes.

We have all the inserts for F-14 and probably will be offering as a kit first, and then some or all individually -  61 Inserts Total for $30.

Would like to know if anyone is interested.
