Game #3 Discussion / Re: Lead time for remake #3
« on: March 07, 2018, 10:42:33 PM »
According to CGC's Facebook post.

"Like a fine wine, a pinball is not done till it’s done.  We have elected to delay the introduction of Pinball #3. Originally we were scheduled to introduce our next pin at the Texas Pinball Festival in Dallas, Texas on March 16-18th.   Additional features are being added while deploying some newer technologies.   While we know this will disappoint a few people, we are confident that once they see the final product that they will be blown away.   Chicago Gaming will still be present at the Texas Pinball Festival regardless.  More information on PIN # 3 in the weeks to come."

We saw what was accomplished with AFMR. I'm sure the wait, though hard, will be well worth it.

MMR Support [MMR Members Only] / Re: Left Troll LED not working

Either wiring or LED. I haven't worked on one so I don't know easy or hard.

You might ask on Pinside for help from anyone who has worked on them.

Thank you,

If it happens again. I would reseat the connector from that coil to the driver board under the playfield a couple times. And that driver board is screwed and has ten pins that plug into the huge board under the playfield. Push that area in a little so it's seated tight.

Please enable the high power interlock switch on the coin door frame, and go to Tests - Solenoids - and see if it fires. If not, check for broken wire at the coil lugs, especially the thin ones coming from the coil to the lug.

If a lot of coils do't work, but some do. You may have blown a fuse.

You can open a ticket on the Support desk at chicago-gaming.com website, if the above doesn't get you going.

Attack From Mars Remake (AFMR) / Re: Right Slingshot arm contacting PF
« on: November 25, 2017, 04:53:38 PM »
Locknut will be in the sleeve. Coil stop - locknut - plunger.

This happens on some MMR's and happened on some MM's.

Nothing amiss. CGC copied Williams specs, and Williams was building for commercial use and didn't care if the slingshot kicker arm bracket should have been a little further back.

CGC did make longer plungers once this was discovered.

I'd remove the bracket, slide the coil/bracket down, toss a locknut in the bottom of the coil. Reassemble. You shortened the plunger stroke and no more hitting the playfield.

You can also open a ticket on the support desk and ask for the longer plunger to prevent this.

Either method works, neither effects game play or slingshot action.

I prefer throwing a locknut in. You ever work on it, you'll remember it and reuse. If you have a longer plunger and replace it years later, you may forget the plunger is longer and stick a regular one in.

Attack From Mars Remake (AFMR) / Re: AFMr LE dead solonoids

Please turn game on. Open coin door. Pull out the knob on the high power interlock switch. ( top white switch on left inside of coin door ) Leave coin door open and high power switch knob pulled out. Does the game work then ?

If so. The metal flap on the coin door that pushes the switches closed needs to be bent to do a better job closing the two white switches. Or loosen the bracket holding the two white switches and move closer to the coin door frame.

Planetary Pinball Supply may have them or at some point I'm sure stock them.
