MMR Updates (READ ONLY) / MMR Update: 1/30/15 - First PRODUCTION MMR is off the line

Doug at CGC just called - first production game off the line is up and playing with no issues and in final test today at Stern!

We will get pictures Mon/Tues.


I (Rick) am flying out Monday to the Stern site to 'bless' the first one (either late monday or tuesday).


Production officially underway.

MMR Updates (READ ONLY) / MMR Update 1/27/15

Production is starting: most of this update is from Ray Tanzer (Sterns main guy) earlier today and Doug Duba (Chicago Gaming) tonite


- Sub-Assembly production is in process - major sub-assembly stations are assembling the major sub-assemblies (per Stern today) - 35 people were working yesterday and today(!) (per Doug tonite)
- Playfield Assembly - first playfields are on the line and moving down the assembly line (per Stern today) - 20 playfields on line right now (per CGC tonite) - about 10 nearly and 10 at earlier in the line (per Doug tonite)
- Main production of cabinet and backbox has started (per Stern today)
- Test Fixtures are now at Stern for castle mech and playfield final test and bringup
- Expected first games off the line late this week, latest Mon/Tues if any bumps - those will all be thoroughly checked and reviewed to insure that line and all elements are set right (per Stern today)
- Packaging is done and being shipped to Stern in various batches this week.


Doug Duba is mainly at Stern this week working with SPI (Stern) sorting out any last minute details (per Stern today)


Rick expected to fly out this weekend/early next week sometime to review the line and the first batch of games and apply the WMS holograms to the first game!

MMR Updates (READ ONLY) / MMR Update 1/19/15

We will have a production update from CGC expected today, but my input from talking with Stern last week was they were loading the line with parts last week, so that is good news and then they just need to insure things are ready to go. "Production" includes both assembly production and then main production - and likely assembly production starts first and then playfields go down the line a very short time later.


PPS has started interlocking with CGC on Trim color production as well as allocation to resellers for games - we have an initial allocation of the games for the first batch and will be reviewing and then sending updates to the resellers for them to get in line.


For the first batch of games Gold and some Black will be made

Update from Stern/CGC Monday call 12/29


Production line is ready to go (from Stern)
All parts are in to Stern - Stern is receiving and confirming, spot testing, etc (from Stern)
Packaging is ready to go - tested, etc (from CGC)
Stern is confirming that all parts are in their inventory and ready to go - this should be Weds (+/- based on Holiday) (from Stern)
Then 3-5 days to load production line (from Stern)
Current startup date is January 12 which is based on all steps completing on time, no rejects, etc. (from Stern) and will ramp up.

Final parts still coming into Stern, now from CGC that date is this Friday. Takes probably 3-5 days for Stern to get all parts received and line started.


CGC will update during the week - this is latest I have from Stern - waiting on CGC for all parts to be received.

MMR Updates (READ ONLY) / MMR Update 12/4/14

Daily calls between CGC and Stern as logistics of parts, parts shipments, final items, etc are the focus.


- CGC shipping parts daily in bulk to bring over to support first 250 games
- UL documents received for labels for UL
- Stern has 53' trailer for buffering MMR parts setup
- Packaging box/foam/etc completing
- Daily calls now between CGC and Stern
- Reviewed all feedback and reviewing with team any adjustments, documentation, etc based on that feedback - AU Expo, Europe DPO, IAPPA, Logan's Chicago test site, etc).
- MMR shipped to PPS arriving Friday (for Tournament and showroom) - will be at BAA warehouse showroom this weekend (assuming no forklift holes when received!)


Once Stern has signed off all parts received and loaded on line then formal main production starts.


We will update next when significant updates happen, which are no longer based on monday's calls.

Parts being pulled this weekend headed for Stern for the build. Stern wanted all parts at once and when the production is imminent, and then they receive the parts into their MRP system and then load them onto the line, build any sub-assy's that need to be built, etc. So large amount of parts going to Stern is indicator that we are very close to turning the line on.

Happy Thanksgiving! (Call 11/24)

So, update is the following

- UL Letter has been received meaning MMRs are now certified to ship
- 3 MMR were at IAPPA in Florida last week to show off to the mainly operator/vending community
- Parts being brought over to Stern this/next week for first batch of games to be made, subassembly parts then non-subassembly parts.
- Waiting on final short list of parts (mostly contingent on UL), having now a couple updates a week on this as this is the final critical path for game production.
- Packaging testing ongoing.
- Another update call scheduled 11/26
- Very soon ...
