I have tried multiple SD cards. Followed the instructions to the letter. Multiple ways of unpacking the file.
My MMr will not boot to the update in progress screen.
With the SD card/cards in. It stays a blank screen for about
2-3 minutes then boots normally.
No update screen etc.
If I remove the SD and turn on it boots normally.
I filed a ticket. But does anyone have any suggestions other than possibly a faulty SD card slot on the beagle.
Thanks Eric.

Mine won't update either, I have only tried using a 16g card and 2 different adapters.
-
Well it 100% must be a faulty SD card slot on my machine.
Because it actually started to update but then failed 1/2 the way through.
Now my MMr is bricked. It continually boot cycles.
Only course of action is now is a new board.
I understand manufacturing defects happen but......
Very unimpressed. And extremely pissed off.
Not only can I not update. But now I can't even play it.
Ticket filed.

I hope you get this resolved very soon.

Checked the pins in the SD port after with a DMM.
Yup. there are 2 bad pins that don't really connect 100% to the SD card.
-
I have not tried mine again but will tonight. Lets see if I can brick mine.
-
Well I tried it again new download, new card, new adapter, no luck

I'm in the same boat. Updated to version 2.0 perfectly. Tried several new out of the wrapper SD cards, followed all the correct directions and receive the " update screen of death " message. Opened a ticket and good to know Lloyd will help. Anyone have any luck resolving? The game is now bricked and not a light or sound works.
-
I'm sorry I ran out of ideas to try.
I marked your ticket urgent and alerted the engineer.

Thanks Lloyd! Really appreciate your help. Waiting for Ron to respond.

Just downloaded 2.0.1 everything seem to go well but!!! After rebooting game still shows version 1.0 on start up. Also the download of 2.0.1 was only 1.59gb thought the file was larger. Did I not get the complete download?
-
That is normal. The 1.0 is the Williams code that has not changed. If you enter the CGC service menu, you will see the updated version. Press and hold the far left coin door button.

Special thanks to Lloyd and Marc for helping me troubleshoot my update problem. CGC is sending me a new updated board. Looking forward to playing MMR soon.

Installed new board from CGC and the game works perfectly. Shipped defective board back. Pretty easy process...
