I would touch up the clear coat with super glue. Foam rubber or felt in the hole in front of the kicker will help prevent further damage.

Please check the connectors to the power supply board over the on/off switch. And the connectors to the LCD and controller board. Be sure all are tight.

If that doesn't do it, please open a ticket - You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Thank you,

Please check that is has a coil sleeve. Moves freely. Bracket isn't bent or anything so the ball doesn't get a good kick. And where the plunger rests should be a rubber grommet. Please check that it is there, and clean so the plunger doesn't stick to it. If it's missing, the plunger will ride too low in the coil and not get a full power kick.

Loosen the screws holding the slingshot kicker bracket and move back from the hole and tighten back down. See if that gives you enough space.

You mean the tower came off it's base ?

Any glue will work. Super glue, 5 minute epoxy, etc.

Bob, to further put you at ease. I've been doing tech support for quite some time, not just PPS/CGC.

Yours isn't a stupid question. You don't even make it into the top one hundred.

Cut a wire harness or circuit board in half, then we'll talk.

Crap happens Bob, you aren't an idiot.

Translite is easy, two theft proof torxes unscrew and you can remove the plate and change the lock easily. Check Bay Area, etc. for new locks.

Coin door. Is it open ? I ask because you know you lost the translite key and it should be on a hook on the door. If the door is open, remove the lock and get a new cabinet lock from home Depot. It is longer than the translite lock.

Coin door closed. Very carefully drill it out until the screw/hasp falls on the inside. Vacuum up the metal dust good.

There isn't a universal key that fits all.

If you have any keys, try them all. Wiggle and twist, if you get in once than change the lock.

You can pick the lock if you have some tools and are good.

Some things to check and do. I would remove the coin mechs and see if anything improves.
You do have a F6 UR, if you got to Tests - Switch edge - push the flipper button in slowly, you should get first Right Flipper Button and then F6 UR ( used for lane changes ) Could be the opto interrupter isn't opening F6 enough to register.
Then same Tests - switch edges - see if the launch button switch is stuck closed, or working right, and then roll a ball down the shooter lane to rest on the launcher and see if the shooter lane switch is working. Not sticking in the playfield or getting hit by the launcher.
Be sure there are only 4 balls in the game too.

Troll up switch, that is the troll face switch that should register when a ball hits it. Please check below the playfield on that troll assembly, you'll see two harnesses, one for the troll face and one for the switch that lets the game know if the troll is up or down. Follow the wiring to the big board where they plug onto and be sure they are in tight.
Please let me know if this clears up your issues.

PPS/CGC/Stern are making note of any and all issues.

I'm here to help when an owner has a game and needs to get it going so they can enjoy it.

I wouldn't assume anything. And I have no idea of the manufacturer of the flipper assemblies or how they assemble them.

I do know if an issue comes up, then PPS/CGC/Stern look into improving it.

They have regular meetings to address issues. I speak with CGC every week day and go over any tech support issues. And there have been very few of them considering 250 games out there.

More irrefutable and insurmountable evidence to support my hypothesis that these games are not being play tested!  Please work with the powers that be at Stern to find a college kid that will gladly play test these games in return for free pizza...
Thx

Hardly. They are likely buying whole flipper assemblies and installing them in games. After some time the coil stop screws come loose. Same has happened for other manufacturers.

Cure is crank the allen head screw tighter or use split ring lock washers on them.

Hello

Please loosen the nut holding the wireform to the hex post up in that area and move the wireform a little to the right and tighten it. See if that helps.

Thank you,

LCD - please go over power connectors at LEC and where they go to, be sure they are on tight. Reseat the HDMI connector on top of the small board in the head.

From your description it sounds like something is loose.

Please open a ticket on the help desk, so the manufacture date of your game can be checked.
