Closer yes, and it appears a bunch of pictures have 'leaked' which at this point is fine ... AFMR

They are the next up, usually I will hear a week or so before I get them, and waiting for the word.

Exactly ... this is why we are holding the annoucement until 'about ready' ... had we gone ahead in even Oct, it would be more time ... we should be discussing status and annoucement timing this week now that everyone is back.

Don't take this personally, but there is another way to look at it. In fact almost every 'new' game is using 'new' technology.

The new technology is far more reliable - also 'old' boards have old components (like capacitors which eventually expend themselves ... as well as other components ... costing alot of time and labor and $ to figure each one out as it goes)

The new technology is often cheaper to replace a component than to repair it.

The new technology can be repaired - and in MMR we make the fault points surface mount to be able to more easily repair. Also surface mount can be repaired as well.

I don't think anyone would be in business trying to make surface mount boards for pinball machines - far too expensive - that is not what board houses make anymore.

Apply this to anything electronic in your home - not sure why pinball should be any different.

Reputable amusements companies often will say that as they of course want you to buy older games, which is generally what they sell (and repair)

hopefully will be here by end of Dec.

Yes. Stay Tuned.

There is a discussion required about current availability, questions to answer, etc, also payment options ... so while we will have info on the site it will generally be not be ordered via the web ...

84
not yet ... we certainly have a name, but have not published that, as it's not useful without the answers to other key questions (pricing, etc) ...

it is FAR less painful to keep pushing the announcement that it would be to take pre-orders and deal with that we had for MMR ...

You will hear it from me first, PPS is the largest reseller of MMR's and we expect to be the same for the next games as well.

SO, the FIRST place I'm going to announce it here, and I'm sure whether I or CGC announce it on Pinside it would be there within a minute or two anyways.

We would likely be taking 'pre-orders' as the game will be shipping reasonably soon after the announcement. The game will be built at Chicago Gaming which has the benefit of not having alot of issues in terms of finding parts and scheduling the line (which the Stern execs have been great, but the combination of two companies trying to manage parts shortages and issues has been a challenge) - so the upside should be a more consistent 'up-time' to producing games. The downside is that CGC's line will inherently be running slower per day ... but given the starts and stops on the MMR line thru the past year, it could actually be a positive, we will see.

The game is going thru final tinkering, and it went into UL testing awhile ago, but with so many things going on here, I've not checked on the status - it's alot easier this time, as CGC knows the 'pinball' UL process, as well as there are many components that are the same or similar, etc. I should be getting a pre-production game here in Reno shortly, as well as I know they are looking to put a couple out on test.

Stay tuned.

We are finalizing things, and I will post on the PPS forum information as soon as we have anything to post, but it will be soon.

I can tell you that most parts are in or have been ordered, and assemblies are being constructed now, electronics have been done for months. There are just some minor cosmetic details being finalized, etc.

We have had something to do with the delay in announcing as we want the distance between ordering and delivery to be 'reasonable'.

Rick

Nope, that was the idea, but a couple of details not ironed out, so we are not announcing sooner than it should.
