« on: August 01, 2017, 09:00:33 AM »

150 SE's have shipped already

AFMR LE's are shipping now!

Chicago Gaming will first be shipping the Serial Number Matching games (for existing MMR customers), and that is expected to go quickly as most of those games have already been built and expected to have been shipped by about Aug 11

Then there will be some more AFMR LE's thru end-aug to early Sept.

A Batch of MMR's will be built in Sept

Then back to AFMR LE's in Early Oct to finish up until the AFMR LE's are all shipped.

So, we are in pretty good shape on getting games out.

AFMR SE games are boxed up and shipping, some had shipped last week to support some shows, many more are shipping now

We have all seen a very reliable games - games have been at several shows in the last few weeks with absolutely no hiccups or breakages, etc - good news.

CGC is doing alot of QA on the games before going out - at least 3 stages of QA with a final signoff

Expecting the initial batch of SE's to be done by end of June and then moving to the LE's

LE's are expected to start shipping early to mid July.

CGC is assessing their build rate but they are on track and still ramping up to their comfortable rate but they are happy with the results and continue to hire people.

We are also 'projecting' the MMR build to be around Mid-Aug now and will update as we know more

We will be updating as we get more information.

Some SE games shipped today for some critical shows, etc. Report is that games are very solid, so issues found. CGC is now ramping up production - first with some SE's.

We expect several customer shipments next week!

Quick update regarding AFMR production status - per discussion with Chicago Gaming.

UPD: 6/1/17 - First True Production game came off the line and CGC is very happy with the result - will be heavily tested, many complete tested playfields done, being married to cabinets now, so production has truly begun, but there will be a ramp-up.

Production started and several games are expected to be shipped on Friday.

Parts are in for the initial production run, they have not identified any issues at this time impacting production.

Games are on the line, and several are expected to come off tomorrow (Thurs June 1), those would be tested and expected to be shipped on Friday. These are full production serial numbered SE games.

All games will have SOL (Stroke of Luck) protector installed, as well as games will have mylar as per factory as well as additional mylar in wear area in front of the 3 bank forcefield targets.

There will be a slow ramp-up of the games thru the next weeks, obviously to ensure the quality of the build, etc.

The initial batch of <100 games will be Special Edition games. SE's first for two reasons a) Shipping SE games for dealer showroom, show support, etc and b) There have been a number of improvements in the LE topper and those improvements resulted in revisions to some LE topper (only) parts.

There will be an update expected from Chicago Gaming on Thursday with pictures and more overview on the production line and status. We wanted to update on May 31st as many of you may have been watching on the last day of May for an update.

The game is solid - PPS have had a pre-production game since February, and the game has been extremely solid. The game ran non-stop during the Allentown show, as well as was sent right away to the Pin A Go-Go show, and had no issues.

PPS is now requesting SE customers for final payment unless you have requested a late shipment not in the first batch. Soon afterward we will start requesting final payment for LE customers. We will contact those customers based on our (and CGC's forecast) of trying to keep +/- 30 days out from shipment date.

AFMR Updates (READ ONLY) / AFMR Trim Color
« on: March 17, 2017, 10:54:15 AM »
So, as with MMR, there is debate over the AFMR trim color. Interesting fact - while there was vocal opposition to the MMR Gold trim - I think about 70+% of people ordered that way ... moral of the story is that vocal does not necessarily equal majority.

We have a game here and the green is fine, it stands out and is intended to match the green on the playfield which it appears to.

There is a valid concern when the trim color does not 'do it' for someone and so I would predict that black option (same as on MMR) will likely become an option on the MMR LE ... nothing formal from CGC, but I can see that happening.

As for Red ... PPS will see if there is interest and run "Martian Red" trim and have that available for aftermarket - replacing trim is not a complex task. I do think that there would be ALOT of red on the cabinet, and oversaturates the game with red, also there is alot of yellow/orange/red on the art, and coming up with the 'right' red I'm sure there would be an equal pushback on red.

NOTE: If we are to do any RED, it will be something that we run and sell from our store, and customers buy and put on their games and take the old ones off. We will have spare green, black (which we have now), and gold (mmr). So, no, at this time it is not an option on AFMR.

BUT, if anyone wants red trim let me know and if enough interest then we will run some ...

All AFMR Info will be available at 5PM CST / 3PM PST / 6PM EST ... coinciding with TPF Start Time.

Some may be trickling out before that, but this is the 'official' time.

Pricing has already been determined, and has feature matrix.

We will be pushing out one or more News updates for those on our distribution list, as well as posting the same info here on the PPS Forum

I'm sure minor details can change as any feedback comes in, but major details will not.
