MMR container to AU scheduled to arrive in Oz this week - merry xmas down under, some new packages for you!

UK container getting picked up Weds, Dec 16 (updated), so will be on it's way to UK customers!

US games continue to ship as well during the period, all trim colors are now being built based on the needs and allocation to the resellers.

Europe games are being organized, and scheduled to be building them very soon so Europe Ministry of Pinball games should be next major bulk order to go out.

Delays are getting ironed out, parts are at Stern sooner for more games, and other than the annoying fire drill of quick fixing any issues, and ensuring resources are scheduled at Stern, we should be better in terms of run-rate.

We are over the halfway mark for MMR LE's, and plans are being worked with CGC and Stern by ensuring that all parts are there and verified to to longer faster runs of games.

Stern/CGC are working on a plan for 250+ games in December, so assuming no major issues that will be the goal. CGC and Stern are working to ensure that all parts are inhouse at Stern for at least this many games for Dec.

Australian container was sent last month, and is on the ocean and should games on Oz before Xmas.

European games are being put in the production queue now, initial batch to UK, and then Europe.

CGC continues to build all Trim colors now in smaller batches to support reseller needs - games are being allocated against orders as well as against payments to CGC from the resellers.

Hopefully December will see a good make up of a good portion of the outstanding games, barring any stoppages.

All Things Pinball / The Next Game PPS/CGC ....
« on: October 19, 2015, 01:44:43 PM »
What I can tell people at this point.

- The next game has been in development for some time - using resources from CGC that were no longer needed from the MMR project.
- It is very far along and is playable with new electronics, etc.
- Will 'likely' be announced at TPF in March - that is not cast in stone, but likely.
- Playfields, Cab art, Plastics are done or at next to last rev, using original wms art films.
- Our goal is to create a 'real' short time between availability and shipment - there will be no pre-orders per se (what resellers do is up to them)
- There will be no trim options (lol) ... but there will be something else.
- There will more after game #2 ... several more spanning several years.

But for now, the focus is on getting MMR's delivered and production at a run rate that everyone is comfortable.

Took a quick 24 hour trip to CGC/Stern (Chicago) ... took some pictures - black games have shipped and are on the line now ...

A few comments:
- the pictures with the playfields - these are all destined as Black games
- There is one picture of a game without an LE badge - that is because that is done at the very last step before going in the box.
- picture with shipping boxes - there are only 2 waiting to get picked up as that day there were I believe 6 that were already picked up that day, so we don't want many games in boxes sitting at Stern
- All the cabinets in the picture are black trim games with the exception of the one in the middle which is gold.

Games have been produced and shipping. Most recently some gold games have been run thru based, and now black are on the line and I was told by CGC today or tomorrow the first black trim game coming off.

Australia (Mr. Pinball Australia) games are being setup for build/shipment - that is a discussion between CGC and Wayne to get the right trim games, payments, etc all squared away for a container load, so anything on that would be best updated by talking to Wayne as for status, etc.

Europe games would be coming after that (likely around game #500), so stay tuned for that. We are at around 350+ games out with many more coming out this week, some straggler golds, and blacks.

Just a quick update from CGC .. games have been coming off the line and shipping.

Silvers have been shipping

We also now have Black and Golds so those are starting to be mixed in for smaller batches of different trim colors.

9 games were in just today (Silver) and shipped, more coming every day or every other day.

Good News ... we've had a number of discussions with CGC and Stern and Stern has been able to arrange an early re-start of the line, so starting tomorrow they will be restarting the line (which involves insuring that all stations are loaded, then subassemblies building/built, for playfields) will be starting a new batch of games which will take a few days to get thru to finish and more games shipping next week (as what I was told by the principals). Mostly silver games for this initial part of the batch and then we will be bringing Black and Gold into the mix.

UPDATE: 7/22 - CGC has trim parts over to powdercoater for Black and Gold, so end next week we 'should' have capability to start running Gold and Black, which will give us all trim colors within a week or two so we can satisfy all trim choices.

As usual most anything can change, but in this case for the better!

Thanks to Stern and CGC for sorting out everything to get things back up.

About 60 games were built up last week and most have been shipped (I believe about the last 7 or so are shipping today). Most of these are Silver with some Gold as well. Some parts rejections caused us to miss a 'slot' in the Stern production schedule and as of today they are at Aug 2 for at least another burst of 250 LE games.

I will be trying to get a mix of trim colors so we can allocate better based on time purchased and payment received as well as we will start allocating for AU next.

We will also be working with Stern to get a longer burst instead of 250/batch and see how the timing fits into their schedule.

UPDATE: discussed with CGC today (Friday) about getting all trim colors at Stern and running smaller subsets of a batch so that those who have paid with a particular trim color will get games shipped sooner - as opposed to waiting for large batches of a single trim color - which is not serving the customer - more on that, but we all agreed to make that happen.

Games are being made, parts are at Stern, and there are no major issues other than hitting windows and addressing any parts issues that may be found based on what was actually shipped (aka Supply Chain issues). Most of the issues are parts transfers from CGC to Stern, as well a finding issues with a couple of parts which are resolved quickly, but lines do not run untill every part is checked off QC, etc.

UPDATE: In talking with CGC, there were 'partial' parts issues, which needed to be gone thru to pull out the ones that were an issue (a handful), and pulling out the ones that were good vs bad was part of the delay.

And yes, we (Stern, CGC, and PPS) are very frustrated, and look at anything that can be done to get thru these start/stop issues.

UPDATE: Customers with slingshot kicker issue (hitting playfield) have been sent repair kits - if you have not submitted a ticket on Chicago Gaming's site, then please do so as that is the list for whom they are sending the kits.

Sorry if people have thought I disappeared, just had some guests visiting and were tied up. My phone still works though 408-891-7878 if any serious questions.

I should add that as much as we can we are working to see if we can improve any schedule including this one to see if we can get things started sooner.

Production Line has restarted. Playfields are being assembled now (as per Stern this AM). Production initially will be Stainless versions, then we will switch to a run of Black, and possibly some gold inserted as we go.

There will be some starts and stops based on scheduling between Stern and CGC but there are planned runs thru the rest of the LE's.

Stern/CGC have collected and reviewed the list of all issues they have recorded to determine the best solution for them and that has been incorporated into the re-start of the line at the new Stern factory.
