Trolls slam ball into glass during Multiball Madness

I never noticed this in the original but it happens constantly on my MMR - balls that happen to be on a troll cover during Madness get slammed at high speed into the glass above it when the Troll pops up. I know it's tempered glass but it hits very loudly and just wondering if this is common in the original as well?
