Gate at top of playfield

Ever since I received my game in Oct, a slow roll up either the left OR right orbit will get stuck at the gate at the top of the pf. This happens at least once every 3 games. The glass has to be taken off to get the ball. What activates that gate and what is the fix? A ball search does not activate that gate, so the glass must come off. So frustrating.

Lloyd Olson:
Please gently bend the gate bracket up a tiny bit, then the balls should clear it.
