Adjustment to Troll power?
« on: September 29, 2016, 08:59:27 PM »
Was wondering if you might consider as part of any future updates to allow control of the Troll coil power as is done with the catapult, flippers, etc. During multiball the trolls pop up full force and often slam the ball into the glass - scares the sh*t out of everyone (scares me too, but only after I smoked a J). I don't think having them pop up a tad slower (as they do on Hobbit) would affect gameplay and I imagine if they did this for the Catapult it can be done for the Trolls. What do you think?

On the original MM, the trolls often pop the ball up to the glass. In 20 years, it hasn't hurt the glass. Part of the game.

I know this. Not concerned about shattering the glass. Are we not supposed to make any improvements as long as the original had the same issue? Come on, man.

I don't know about this. I've got a sheet of glass (even worse, it's invisiglass) that has a hairline fracture in it. An that fracture is directly above the left troll.

I would replace that glass ASAP. Tempered glass is under extreme stress (10,000psi) due to the way it is manufactured. It is designed to implode into tiny pieces when any portion of it fails. You don't want that happening while the glass is on the machine.

There is no issue to fix.
