Block Diagram of Flipper & Lane Change Circuit
Power Circuits
The Power Driver Bo ard supplies the fo llowing voltage s:
+5VDC for logic circu its
+1 2VDC for logic circu its (sw itch ma trix)
+1 2VDC power (motors, relay s)
+18VDC for controlled lamp circui ts (lamp matrix )
+20VDC for soleno ids (fla shlamps )
+50V for soleno ids (coils )
6.3VAC for general illu min atio n
The +5V, and+12V circu its operate in the same way . AC voltage from the secondary of the
transformer goes to a bridge rectifier that converts the AC to unregulated DC . The unregu lated DC
goes through a voltage regulator which conv ert s it to regulated DC . From that po int the various
regulated DC voltages branch out to the necessary circu its.
The +12V power and +18V circuit
is
unregulated . AC voltage
from
the tran sformer secondary goes
through a bridge rect ifier , the n to the necessary dev ices .
The +20V and +50V are also unregulated .
AC voltage from the transfor mer seconda ry goes
through a bridge rect ifier , then ou t to the necessary devices.
The 6.3V circu it is an AC circuit. AC volta ge from the t.ransforrner secondary goes through the
triacs and fuses to the bulbs .The AC cycle is mon itored by a Zero Cro ss circu it.
High Line /Low Line Voltage Detection Circuit
WPC
uses the + 18V power circu it to mon itor the AC line voltage for high or low line conditions.
This circuit consists of a LM339 comp arator, two LED s and , a voltage div ider.
-The comparator uses +5 and +18 volts to check the line vol tage. The +18V is also used to power the
controlled lamps (lamp matr ix).
None of the controlled lamps can be On when checking the
LEDs.
