All "Serie s 500" Accep tors leave the fac tory adju sted for maximum performance. If, how -
ever, more cri tical adjustments are des ired, or if the unit has been comple tely disassembled for
service, the fol lowing adjustment procedure is suggested:
A. Kicker and Separator- (On Dime and Qua rter Acceptors only)
1. Set the Acceptor with the back of the unit facing you in the test position .
2. Loosen the screws holding the kicker and separator and move both as far to the
right as they will go. Tighten the screws.
3. Insert several coins (both old and new) and note that some are returned by stri k-
ing the separator.
4 . Loosen the separator screw and move the separato r a sligh t amount to the left.
Tighten the screw.
