Well likely the next games might be BBB, MB, KP, TOM, or CC ... so a 20% at this point you are right.

I have room for one more pin.  I would like to see a CVr.  I realize it was not the best seller, but the machine looks good and is fun to play.  Looks great in the game room.

I know it flies in the face of the purists but since these are "remakes" not reproductions, why not open the bezel on the display and use the entire screen? You're already rewriting the code, I'm guessing it wouldn't take much to stretch the graphics to fit.

How about TAF???

Its a super high in demand game. Many are beat up with a ton of plays.
The price is on the rise. Many new pinballers dont have access to a decent condition
cabinet for less than 6-7 used and then need to pay additional money to  fix and restore.
I would love to pay 7-8k for a brand new The Addams Family.
Every one in my family loves it.
Women love the Franchise as well as men.
It would sell very very well.
Title: Re: MBr

the main challenge with TAF's is how many they made ...

I hear you PPS but even though they made a lot they didnt make enough.
And many that are out there are old and beat up. The game was made in 92'
Many people still want the game. Pinball is in a resurgence and every new
pinball player/collector I talk to wants TAF in their collection.

Why pay 7k for an old beat up game when you can pay 8k for a NIB???
I was just quoted $7500 for a shopped TAF pulled out of service from a reputable Company.
The only problem he has is that he cant keep them in stock.

IF you give many collectors the choice they would prefer an HUO over a beat up worn out pin.
There just isnt enough to go around.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it out sold MMr

Time will tell ... we have done some market analysis and have a pretty good idea of which titles and roughly in which order ... certainly things can change. TAF is in the list of games to try to do.

Yeah, what about totan?  I love that game.  Original theme. What's not to remake? :)
Title: Re: MBr
Post by: hocuslocus on March 20, 2017, 04:34:38 PM
wow, KP I'd love to see that one. only ever had a chance to play it on Virtual pin.
kinda stinks, I recently bought a TOM, great game. Routing these machines I'd much rather get a new one, even if I wasn't I'd still go the new route.
Takes a lot of time, effort and money to get these 20 year old games up to spec.

surprised not to see TOTAN on the short list, guess things can change though. There might of been a lot of TAF's produced, but there aren't very many good ones. At least they are getting to become pretty rare. who knows maybe it can be remake #10
Title: Re: MBr
Post by: PPS on March 20, 2017, 06:57:38 PM
yea, TAF is an interesting one - there were a ton of them made, yet then are not easy to find ...

well hopefully the pace will increase both in games delivered as well as new titles introduced.

each title will have new features and capabilities which will be rolled into subsequent titles ...

Rick,
As a MMR LE owner, I appreciate your outreach to existing customers concerning the purchase of AFMR.

Although I won't be able to purchase AFMR, I look forward to your future offerings and the enhancements they contain.

Keep up the good work!

Yes, Large screen for MMR will happen, just not sure when as Chicago Gaming is consumed with getting AFMR's out. But I am pushing.

I'm happy to have the Attack From Mars remake ordered.  My Medieval Madness remake has been a huge hit at home with friends and family.
With all the talk about future remakes, I am curious if anyone has thoughts to other short production runs like Cirqus Voltaire, Tales of the Arabian Nights, Big Bang Bar or Monster Bash. Trying to gauge my interests with the overall remake market participants.  Curious as well if any other games have been brought into discussion.

Could the current MMR LCD be repurposed for another pin, ala ColorDMD style?  It will be tough to throw $200 away.

Title: Re: MBr

you can envision that depending on how AFMR is received (which I think we already know) that future remakes will raise the bar even higher ... I already can see some features planned for Game 3 and Game 4 which will increase the 'value' of the game, especially as compared to the originals. Collectors will have something new in their collections to collect, others will love the original versions, etc. Its all good.

Does licensing factor in to any of the decisions as to what games are coming next? In other words, (for example) can there be a MBr "any time PPS decides they would want to do it", or would PPS need to work out their own deal with Universal before it could be done?

Since you make mention of games #3 and 4, please forgive my ignorance and directness, but have decisions been made as to what games they are?  I understand you can't reveal what the titles may be, I was just wondering if any decisions had been made behind closed doors, or if we're ALL playing the "wait and see" game.

Thanks!  Can't wait for my AFMr LE to show up!

yes, decisions have been made and no, we are not disclosing what they would be until they are close to being announced, similar to AFMR. We don't want to distract from what is going on now, as well as we don't want to impact the market based on things that may be months/years out. Also things can change and we do not want to be broadcasting what we are doing in the future, we have learned from that and will not do it.

Cool!  Like I said, I understand why you wouldn't be able to reveal the titles, but it's encouraging to know that there is indeed a solid plan in place!

Thanks!

Rick, Great news on things to come , wow its like a dream come true for most of Us that were so involved to get a head start in the rat race of life and missed out on these original titles due to Priorities .
Looking at allot of buyers I don't feel bad feeling young at 55 and now able to budget Life expenses , Family and retirement ...and the odd pin.

Order is in on AFMR [SS Trim ] ,,My color scheme is a little different than others as I am thinking of replacing my SS legs with Black to match the Cabinet Colors and keep the SS Trim to match the mirrors ...ah ..It might work,, but we are all different and that's what make us all unique .

On another note will you be posting Pics on 1st production lines like you did for the MMR , was great seeing production lines, assemblies and movement on the manufacturing side .

No push here ,, just liked the behind the scenes action .

Yah I figured that all would be interchangeable and I do appreciate the time for the reply of note on that matter ..
But ...I really would like [as well as many others who are looking to purchase the new AFMR] a few cool pics of that assembly line "a workin" .
Do you think a visit by you to Stern is in the forecast in the near future to have a look at the production line for the AFMR.?

Just put down a deposit for an AFMR LE. Hopefully I'll be able to get a MMR in the future as well, but after seeing pictures and video of the AFMR LE I wanted to make sure I got one. So MMR goes to being next on the list.

Good to know that CGC and PPS plan to produce more games. Can't say that I would buy them all or even have interest in any more outside of the the first 2, but I love the fact that these highly sought after games are getting some love and being reproduced. Not expecting prices to go down much from AFMR but I think with the tiered pricing options put out with AFMR it should make getting more in the future a little more obtainable.

I'm hoping they do MBr or CCCr next. Those are the only ones I want to go along with my MMR.

Realistically from a demand perspective the 7 candidates for remakes (assuming the emulation software is not enhanced for WPC-89) are:

MMR
AFM
MB
CC
CV
TOTAN
SS

The other WPC 95 games (NBAFB, NGG, CG, CP, JY) are all less than 5k, with most going in the 2-3.5 K range. And then safecracker, which I cannot imagine selling in any great numbers.

Hope # 3 pin is MB. One of the most beautiful pin featuring many of the monsters from Universal Studios. Suggest the inside of the cabinet, where you have mirrors in AFM-RE LE, you place vinyl graphics lit by changing led lights , PinSound, and a 3D lenticular high resolution translite in the MB-R LE. Then e-mail me so I can order one! Thanks for MB-LE and AFM-LE. My dad bought me my first pin in 1952, a 1948 Williams Yanks for $10.00 used of course. It was the greatest gift at that time and I have bought over 35 pins, and 10 + arcades since then. The quality of your machines and the shipping are 10 plus. It is really a pleasure dealing with PP.

I can't believe that no one is mentioning a remake of The Pinball Circus.
There are only two games known to exist.
Rick - Please ask CGC to at least consider it. I think they would do very, very well with this title.

If you are a LE customer with number matching, you got in the first run of the LE version.
