Title: Problem With Ball Trough
Post by: Ding on August 09, 2018, 08:21:41 PM
I'm having an issue with balls getting stuck in the Ball Trough. The coil ejector device that ejects the ball out of the Ball Trough has a black plastic ring around it (Coil Tubing?). It appears that this black plastic tube is extending a little too far up into the ball trough obstructing the balls from being right over the plunger so that they can be ejected from the Trough. I can push the black plastic tube down a little to relieve the obstruction, but it keeps recurring. Any ideas how to fix this?

Hello

The coil and plunger is fastened to a bracket. This bracket is fastened to the end of the ball trough by four screws on the opposite side of the coil. Loosen them and move the whole bracket down a tiny bit. Not too much.
Do that and you should be good to go.
Thank you,LTG : )

Thanks Lloyd. That worked perfectly!

After initially being solved, this problem has unfortunately returned. The balls are again getting stuck in the Ball Trough by the black plastic ring around the coil ejector device. Lloyd, last time I fixed this by loosening the 4 screws on the bracket holding the coil and plunger and moving the bracket down so that the balls could clear the black plastic tube. Unfortunately, the bracket is moved down as far as it will go but the balls are still being obstructed. What is my next step for solving this problem? Is this a problem with the Coil/Plunger device and this needs to be replaced? Do I need to somehow enlarge the sheet metal holes that each of the 4 screws from the bracket sits in so that I can shift the bracket a little farther?

Hello
Has the top hat part of the coil sleeve broken off the bottom and the coil sleeve slipped up ? If so new coil sleeve. If not, trim the coil sleeve shorter.
Thank you,Lloyd

Lloyd,

Thanks for your help with this problem. The ring on the coil sleeve had broken off and the sleeve was slipping up into the trough obstructing ball flow. I replaced the sleeve and now it works perfectly.
